Peak Paddlesports Cowstail (CowTail or Cow Tail) is essential rescue / safety equipment. Tough tubular, elasticated webbing, load bearing bartacking and stainless steel ring make the Cowstail a vital addition to your safety kit. Typically Cows Tails are attached to you via quick release belt either as part of your PFD or as a separate belt. This enables you to tow items to shore or be retrieved if further attached to a line whilst also being able to quickly detach if it you need to without rick of being entangled or dragged. Cowtails also absorb shock as part of a towing system, or part of a rescue retrieval system when swimming or wading in white water. You will need an attachment point on the end without a ring, Typically we recomend a large opening Wire Gate Paddle Carabiner for versatility (These can snap over a paddle shaft or large kayak handle as well as smaller attachment points on your white water kayak. Wiregates also have no hidden springs so are easy to maintain and less likely to suffer snap back than solid gates, but your use case may vary.
