Tsangpo is a famous white water river that starts in the Himalaya’s and is the subject of a number of excellent books, radio and films, and blogs about various expeditions that have attempted to paddle it. Suffice to say it is regarded as a very difficult river to paddle (at least in the higher sections) and has been referred to as the everest of kayaking. The water is also very cold in tibet.
