Rear retention Strap for Helmets- This is a replacement strap for the rear retention strap used to tension helmets to stop them moving on your head – This strap sits low on the rear of your head and is common in most modern white water helmets. A dial in the centre loosens and tightens the strap (and helmet) against your skull’s occipital bone to make it secure but also allow easy adjustment as well as ease of putting it on and taking it off. Spare Part Only – No Helmet or fixing Hardware This is a black plastic strap with a dial on it to tighten the strap to the occipital region of your skull and hold the helmet in place. Sold to replace a strap that has been damaged but the rest of the helmet is ok. We recommend replacing any helmet if there is any doubt as to its serviceability or safety in use. However if your strap has been damaged but the helmet itself has not then this replacement strap may suit.
