Surge delta 1 piece paddle – carbon/glass The Surge Delta 1 piece Paddle – Carbon/Glass is a premium light weight single piece whitewater paddle. This light weight carbon/glass paddle is built for performance in moving water – It’s perfect for whitewater, and surfing. Surge’s Delta paddle’s large, super rigid fibreglass blades are great for battling rapids on your next adventure. Typically set at a 30° right hand feather (RH) by default this angle can be easily adjusted by us for you. Please let us know your preference. This paddle gives you plenty of power and efficiency to get you out of any tight spots. The single piece carbon wrapped fibreglass shaft (Straight not ergo/bent) is super strong and durable. No joiners or extra parts to break or go missing. Great for packrafters looking for a one piece paddle. In short, this paddle is streamlined, light and effective. PLEASE NOTE That this is a light weight white water paddle, and unless requested ships without any indexing Locator/s. We only have the 197cm length in stock (hence the special pricing) but it is possible to easily shorten the paddle. The blades are secured with a commercial grade hot glue so it is easy to heat the paddle (boiling water is enough) to adjust the angle of the blades to your preference and/or remove one/them to shorten the paddle or add locator/s (and heat shrink). We suggest if you do remove a blade (unless you have a high melt temperature hot glue available – typically not a craft supply) you clean the shaft and reattach with an epoxy adhesive, you should not need to do this if care is taken when just tweaking the angle as the existing glue will reset. Unless specified by you the paddle ships with a 30 degree feather angle but we are happy to set it to your prefered angle. (45°, 0°, 90° etc.) if you request and also add locator/s prior to shipping.
