The Surge 2-piece Glass / Nylon adjustable wing blade paddle has a fibreglass shaft and a Nylon Reinforced plastic blade This paddle comes with an easily adjustable length and feather angle. Making it useful as a spare to take on your kayak with you or to adjust for different width boats, height paddlers or styles. The adjustable ferrule features a secure and easy to use solid lever action joiner. Comes with a locator (lumpy bit on the shaft to ensure you have the correct blade angle in the water) as well as rubber hand grips for a secure grip. Plastic blades are heavier than carbon fibre but a lot cheaper. Plastic wing blades are not stronger – the opposite- but they do wear slightly differently so rather than than chip when they hit rocks they are a bit flexible and will wear away.
